Professional Media and Design Classes
BAYCAT offers free classes in media and design. Through project-based learning and access to the latest digital technology, students are able to learn professional media applications while discovering their innate artistic abilities. By encouraging students to collaborate with each other, their families, and the world around them, we strive to build a community enriched by the experience of creative expression.

BAYCAT On-the-Go
BAYCAT is on the move, bringing digital media arts to your community. BAYCAT’s state-of-the-art portable lab turns any site into a multimedia classroom! BAYCAT provides classes, workshops, and project-based assistance in Video Production & Editing, Music Video Production, Digital Audio, Stop-Motion Animation, Web Design, & more!
BAYCAT partners with schools and community centers throughout San Francisco, including the African American Art & Cultural Complex, Alice Griffith Opportunity Center, Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center, Gloria R. Davis Middle School, Mission High School, Sunnydale Recreation Center, Thurgood Marshall High School, and Visitation Valley Middle School. BAYCAT Workshops
BAYCAT’s 3-hour introductory workshops introduce skills that will help you use technology to simplify your life and pursue your artistic dreams. Workshops are donation-based and open to the general public. Suggested donation per workshop is $20 for professionals, $5 for students, teachers, and artists. Those who cannot afford to donate are welcome to give their energy instead! No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Workshops fill quickly, and pre-registration is strongly recommended. To register for a workshop, please email sarabreselor@baycat.org and include the name and date of the workshop you would like to attend and your name, phone number, and email address.
