Create your own animated short film! You will use use traditional hand drawing skills along with Adobe Flash and sound editing software to learn everything you need to know about the production & process of creating an animated short in a professional environment. You will also learn the valuable technique of traditional character animation. Final films will be included in the episode of "Zoom In" in collaboration with the Digital Filmmaking class.

Everyone has a story worth telling. This program teaches students with little to no filmmaking experience the fundamentals of film theory and criticism, the basics of filmmaking techniques such as storyboarding, screenwriting and acting for the camera.
This track will be for students who have completed at least 1 previous filmmaking program with BAYCAT. This track will dive deeper in the world of filmmaking and digital storytelling. With advanced exposure to development of all aspects of production such as lighting, editing, and camera & sound equipment.
Final films will be included in "Zoom In" episode 23 in collaboration with the animation workshop.
