Richmond Continues to Struggle with Crime
Northern California has the highiest crime rate in 2005 to 2006. Oakland, San Francisco, and Richmond has an increasing felonies. On Wednesday Nov. 27, 2006 a pizza man was shot and killed while trying to make a pizza delivery. Pizza Hut match Richmond police 10,000 dollar rewared to info on the shootting. The reward went up to now 20, 000. A call was made at 9p.m on 800 block on 45th st. |
Oil Spill Ruins the Bay
Richmond's shoreline is still close due to oil spill. People in various parts of the bay area are volunteer to help gather wildlife that was harmed from the oil. In order to volunteer you have to get the proper training. If you don't have the proper train you could contaminate and create a health hazard. If you collect oil; It should not be put with regular trash. It should be labeled oily waste and double bag it. To view more photos. Go to

Richmond Art
The Richmond art tradition includes an annual exhibition called 'The Art of Living Black', an exhibition of over 100 black artists through out the bay area. The work ranges from painting , photography, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics and woodcutting. This year's show opens February 5 and the reception for the artists is saturday, 3-6 pm february 9, 2007. The Richmond art Center is located 2540 Barrett Ave, Richmond , CA
