THE ROLE
We are in search of a passionate, creative, detail-oriented, and experienced Motion Graphics Designer & Editor who can manage the post-production of select BAYCAT video projects, including hands-on editing, motion graphics creation, music integration, titles and all final deliverables.
WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE:
Construct Compelling Narratives

Take ownership of editing projects in Adobe Creative Suite.

Collaborate with other producers on the team to come up with creative solutions to improve video elements and directions sessions with the studio team and clients.

Participate in team meetings, rough cut reviews, and client meetings and apply feedback.
Motion Graphics Creation & Integration

Create visually stunning video assets, helping to push BAYCAT’s graphic output forward

Create compelling and dynamic motion graphics in Adobe After Effects and graphics with Adobe Photoshop.

Design motion graphics in the form of titles and infographics to fully animated graphic videos.

Collaborate with video editors and producers to evaluate graphic needs.

Create graphic templates for easy use by other team members.

Enhance raw footage with stylized color correction and design.
Post-Production Management
-
Prioritize and produce project work in a timely manner according to project deadlines.

Ingest footage, including organizing, naming, and converting files.

Ensure projects are in line with the client’s brand & expectations.

Communicate with your direct supervisor and other producers of any editing needs to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Archive project media according to BAYCAT’s standards and practices
Provide Mentorship to Post-Production Interns

Act as a mentor to interns and support training efforts.

Provide supervision and mentorship to interns (& Apprentices when applicable) assigned to projects you are working on.
Prioritize Collaboration & Team Building

Collaborate with BAYCAT team members to continue to build an anti-racist BAYCAT culture and practices.

Engage and lead BAYCAT team building activities, which may include team meetings, retreats, Culture Club, and other team-related gatherings.

Reflect and engage in your own anti-racist journey and professional development individually and with the team.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

Has 3-5 years of professional experience in motion graphics design and editing.

Possesses a firm handle of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop.

Is detailed oriented and extremely tech-savvy.

Is knowledgeable of current trends in media, the demands of the professional field, and of the tools, technologies, and resources inherent to the discipline.
