Career Success Intensive (CSI)
BAYCAT's CSI (Career Success Intensive) trains participants for careers in the media industry and provides hands-on experiences to apply for media roles.

Fall 2025: Media Teaching Artist​
​
Created with early-career teaching artists in mind, BAYCAT's Fall 2025 CSI will give participants the necessary skills through online, self-paced modules. Participants will learn the fundamentals of youth development and curriculum design, utilizing anti-racist teaching strategies to develop an original media arts class or program.
By the end of this asynchronous intensive, participants will:

create a teaching portfolio complete with their teaching philosophy, lesson plans, and exemplars; and

shadow BAYCAT instructors and demonstrate a proficiency in anti-racist teaching methods during an on-site observation with BAYCAT participants.

The asynchronous online modules will run from early October to mid-November, while the in-person shadowing and demonstrations will run from mid-November to mid-December, at our office in San Francisco's Dogpatch neighborhood.

The cohort is comprised of creatives ages 18 and up, particularly San Francisco residents, women, people of color, LGBTQ+ folks, and disabled folks.
Workshop on Wheels
We collaborate with schools and community-based nonprofits to create media production workshops for students. These workshops offer hands-on training with professional equipment and guide students through the process of creating digital media projects.
For example, students from Red Bridge learned about the effects of climate change in the San Francisco Bay Area and created photo essays exploring the city's native endangered species.
