Filmmaking

Learn the fundamentals of video production by creating short narrative and documentary films. Master the art of conducting interviews, working with DSLR cameras and lighting, and editing your projects in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Audio Production

Master the fundamentals of narrative storytelling and audio recording, editing, and mixing as you create podcasts on Soundtrap.

Introductory Classes (ages 11 - 18)

Free Hands-On Experience

Our free introductory classes are ideal for youth eager to explore filmmaking or audio production. No prior experience is needed—just your creativity and passion.

Advanced Classes (ages 14 - 18)

Free Hands-On Experience + Paid Internship

This program is designed for students with advanced skills in filmmaking or audio production. To qualify, you must have completed at least one class at BAYCAT, your school, or another institution, or have equivalent experience.

Film School Applicant Workshop

Free Workshop Series Nov 25-27 - 10 AM to 2 PM

This program is for high school juniors and seniors who are applying to Film School. You'll get support to personalize your application, connect with like-minded peers and explore your options with alumni and school visits. 

Workshops will happen at The Mix located at the SF Public Library, 100 Larkin St. 2nd Floor.
